Right on the commercial and right on the mark!

Okay.

I totally want to find this girl and make her my wife. Awesome.

Has It Only Been Six Years?

Do you remember the first time you had sex on a segway?

"Progressives" Are Nothing More Than Star Trek TNG Fans

I just finished watching all 7 seasons of The Next Generation and I have come to realize that the so called "progressives" are nothing more than Star Trek geeks. Every fiber of the Star Trek series is directly related to Progressive ideology. And I am going to prove it.

1.) The United Federation of Planets = The United Nations
The United Federation of Planets Flag and The U.N. Flag.

2.) Prime Directive. The point of the prime directive is that no outside interference should prevent societies from evolving naturally. So if there is a civil war or if genocide is occuring, the prime directive prohibits any help from the Enterprise. Oddly enough, Picard breaks the Prime Directive about a dozen times. Even he can't avoid breaking the one rule that should never be broken.

3.) Multiculturalism is a reoccuring theme in TNG. All cultures must be respected and tolerated no matter how brutal or barbaric the culture is. And compromising ones personal beliefs in order to get along with others is also a reoccuring theme. But they never investigate into whether it is actually culture, or some government imposed mandate that is in question.

4.) Money is no longer relevant in the lives of Star Trekkians. Food, clothing and various tools, such as phasers and drinking glasses, are made in replicators so the need for money has become obsolete. What drives people to achieve great things is nothing more than Personal satisfaction. Learning to "better oneselves" as the prime motivator.

5.) Since money is no longer valuable then what is? The anwer is usually arts and artifacts. Countless episodes are spent where Data is learning to paint, or Riker is acting in a play, or Picard is on some dig unearthing priceless Vulcan artifacts. This to me is a starving Portland artists wet dream. "Painting is more valuable than selling stereos? Where do I sign?"

6.) Here is the face of the only "Capitalists" in Star Trek. The Ferengi, whose soul purpose of the show is to show their greed and to swindle. They live by the motto "Buyer Beware."

7.) The Enterprise is not a battleship, but a ship of exploration, of scientific research and of peace. Sounds boring doesn't it? Well it is. And the writers of the show knew it. That is why so many episodes were dedicated to the Enterprise just kicking ass.

8.) If you watch enough shows you will also notice the inordinate amount of women doctors, scientists and admirals who seem to appear. I would venture to say about 90% of the time, but I could be wrong. Maybe 99%.

9.) Diplomacy is also a big one in TNG. A Romulan Warbird would be armed and ready to fire and Picard would call his staff into his ready room to discuss the situation. And they would normally find a diplomatic solution to the crisis. (By the way, I know I shouldn't be using words like always and usually and what have you, but the point of this post is for me to have a little fun.)

10.) Here is one my favorites. Counselor Troi and her quest to discover your intent by reading your emotions. Can't have a Progressive show without some emotional involvment.

Can't think of anything more. So I will leave you with this photo. The Juror who wore her uniform to the Clinton Whitewater trial. She was removed from the trial because she spoke with reporters. You can see her in the Trekkies and Trekkies 2 documentaries. During one part of Trekkies 2, she gets into a discussion with her co-worker about whether Star Wars was better or Star Trek. Her main argument was that Star Trek was more than a Sci-Fi show, but it was also a way of life and a philosophy.
Amen to that sister. It is a progressive one.

P.S. I realize that I started this post by saying "I just finished watching all 7 seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation" and I know how geeky that makes me look, but I am telling you, it was purely for scientific research. :-)

Go Figure.

I don't feel heartless enough to say that this is funny right now, but it's certainly not not ironic.

Alec Baldwin Is Losing His Mind.

Sad, because 30 Rock is awesome and would probably suck without him. Anyway, I'm linking this post from IDNLYITW because I love the rip on Barbara Walters and Rosie.

A Common Mistake, Really

Sadly, they're still better at math.

Interesting Debate

This debate happened last month. Michael Chrichton was involved, so I've paid attention.

Too bad the audio portion is edited, its too easy to change the meat of each person's argument, but what is interesting is the poll. Check the poll. About 57% of the people in attendance believed in global warming alarmism before the debate. 42% believed it after the debate.

Somewhere on NPR's site, they have the whole debate.

Bloatust

I had a great time on my trip this past week. It was awesome seeing all of you. I am posting this picture of me for two reasons. It showcases all the driving I did and all the damn weight I have gained. Good God!

Rudy had a usual Q/A session after a speech today. He responds well at the end of this regarding how our civil liberties have been "squashed" by the Bush administration.

David Blaine prt. 2

I can't remember who posted on this the first time, but here is another.

Hurray!

Kerry answers questions from 9/11 conspiracy whack-jobs, but doesn't have the balls to tell them to stick it. Ace has some great things to say about that.

I Am Not In Love

For my first post on Blogust, I am going to showcase 'I am not in love' by 10cc. I don't know if you guys are aware of this band, but I enjoyed them when I was younger. If you want some more info check out this link.

See! I told you! I told you!

Ah, the left... Single minded numbskulls. They made my prediction too easy. See the "Garotzuva weakened by Bush" post below, then watch this.

But then again, that Keith Olberdork is just too easy.

Happy Doolittle Day

True American Heroes. The guys in this interview shrug it off as their duty, but these guys are HEROES.

Only 4 months after our Pacific fleet was wiped out, B-25's take off on a one way mission to drop bombs on Tokyo. And they pulled it off. Think of it:

- B-25's had never taken off from a carrier before.
- This was a one way mission. Most didn't expect to come back alive.
- Their only hope was to crash land in China and find help.
- The only way on this mission was by VOLUNTEERING.

Chicken Little has a home page

Check out this crap.

This movement really does have some big bucks behind it. And the bucks aren't the kind with antlers.

Garotzuva weakened by Bush

Wow, our President really is responsible for everything. I'm sure its not long till he's tied to the VT shootings, but in the mean time we have this.

Of course critics won't give an inch and they are blaming the reduction on Katrina. But wait... Bush caused Katrina too!

You just can't win with these dorks.

British Forces at War: As Witnessed by an American

This article showed up on Foxnews.com recently but I never got around to posting it. The article was written by Michael Yon, a journalist who I have posted on before, but this time he is embedded with British Troops. Recommended

I Don't Even Know Where To Start.

I really don't. There is no fucking controversy, so don't even fucking try, you obvious Exxon hacks!

Snoop Dog on Imus?

You bet:

"It's a completely different scenario. (Rappers) are not talking about no collegiate basketball girls who have made it to the next level in education and sports. We're talking about hoes that's in the 'hood that ain't doing shit, that's trying to get a nigga for his money. These are two separate things. First of all, we ain't no old-ass white men that sit up on MSNBC going hard on black girls. We are rappers that have these songs coming from our minds and our souls that are relevant to what we feel. I will not let them muthafuckas say we are in the same league as him. Kick him off the air forever."

- Snoop dismissing comparisons between sexist hip hop lyrics and the recent sexist/racially charged remarks made by Don Imus

Sweet.

Remember These?

Sweet nostalgia!

More Wow

This thing hits as hard as the previous Wow post.

The Duke Case.

Just throwing this out there in case nobody was paying attention. The exonerated players are calling for justice system reforms so more innocent people, especially those less able to afford to defend themselves, do not have to go through what they went through. They also, it seems, intend to bring lawsuits against Nifong, the attorney running for office that pushed this case so hard in the first place in spite of lack of evidence and questionable testimonies. I think Nifong should be charged with a hate crime, personally. Then maybe more lawyers would think twice about taking up farcical cases based on hotbutton issues. How's that for reform?

Update: Nifong apologizes. He sounds sincere. If by sincere I mean, "like a big dickhead."

You heard it here first!

Garotzuva makes you more youthful! People are living healthier, longer lives. This started to happen about the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. Therefore global warming makes you live longer.

Proof.

Man, maybe I am a liberal after all.

Hurray.

The Onion.

Or this one.

Interesting.

Right here.

Jimmy Kimmel Is A Humorless Waste

Here's Jimmy Kimmel covering for Larry King and slamming the editor of Gawker website for posting an article about him being drunk. Yeah, the same Jimmy Kimmel who rose to fame on The Man Show. He basically calls her a slanderous bitch and at one point even tells her she might end up in Hell.

Way to go, comedian. My favorite part is when the other guy says that she can't refer to her site as journalism since journalists report the truth, with fact-checking and everything. Which journalists is this douche bag talking about?

Nappy Headed Hos

For all this fuss over Imus calling a bunch of women basketball players "Nappy Headed Hos" I am wondering if he would be in the same amount of trouble if his words were put to a beat.

"Hey Dre"
"What Up"
"Give me a funky ass bass -line"

Coming To Terms

I don't mean to rail the Baron's favorite team, but this was too rich to pass up. On April 20th it is "Rally Cap" day at AT&T ballpark.
Which leads me to one conclusion. The vaGiants know they will be losing a lot of games in the late innings this season.

More Of The Same.

Are you happy, Blogust? I actually read something written by one of your hot lady friends.

Garutsova Is Everywhere.

Mars is warming by as much as .65 degrees a year, causing it's southern ice cap to recede. To some people this would point to Global Warming as a natural occurence. Sadly, this will lead others to believe that there was once life on Mars. Most likely, Republican life.

Nope, no liberal bias here.

Is it possible to do burnt-umber in a title? Read this crap.

Notice that the options are a white female Dem, a black male Dem, or a white male Dem. Forget about the other parties.

Hell, even in the poll results they show, the numbers don't add up to 100%!!!! So who are the "undecided" voting for? They spin this article like its only a matter of time before the "undecided" decide on which Dem, not on which party.

And of course they had to insert this quote:

"People think black people will vote for a candidate because they're black, but there's an awful lot of stupid black people out there who voted for Bush," she said.

Liberals, the most racist, race is their favorite card to play.

I Don't Get It

How hard is it to say, "We're all going to die!"?

This Bitch Is Going To Get Us All Killed.

This reminds me of that scene in Die-Hard, where the coked out lawyer goes in and tries to get McClain to give himself up because Hans isn't really a bad guy and doesn't really want to hurt anyone. Then Hans shoots him and it turns out that McClain was right all along.

Pretty Interesting.

I think I've seen this or something similar before, but it's pretty cool.

Wire To Wire

After watching Peavy deal and the San Diego bats crush the vaGiants yesterday, my day has been quite good. Could have been a better if it wasn't for that Bonds shift or that bunt by Roberts. Still, Peavy killed.

But my favorite part of the game was something completely different. The game was on FSN bay area yesterday, which doesn't bother me because I have always liked the vaGiants announcers, and this annoying ugly ass reporter chick was doing interviews with players and fans between innings. In one segment she gets this fan to try the new and improved Gilroy Garlic Fries. Of course he loves them and hungrily chows down at mach 2 while making noises of pleasure between each bite. "These are much better" he says...or was it her? I can't remember. Anyway it doesn't matter. What does matter is what makes them so much better. Anyone? Anyone? That's right...No trans-fats. I started laughing, but I guess you had to be there.

This Guy Rules

"Some wealthy elitists in our country," he told the audience, "who cannot tell fact from fiction, can afford an Olympian detachment from the impacts of draconian climate change policy. For them, the jobs and dreams destroyed as a result will be nothing more than statistics and the cares of other people. These consequences are abstractions to them, but they are not to me, as I can name many of the thousands of the American citizens whose lives will be destroyed by these elitists' ill-conceived ‘global goofiness' campaigns."

If you like that, here's the rest.

Where are the black golfers?

was the title of the link to this yahoo sports article. The writer of the article just scratches his head over the fact that Tiger Woods still remains the only African American golfer, after 10 years of being in the league, to be a Masters tour champion.
And why is this so? Well according to the author: Money.

I pretty much just glanced over the report after I read that. Once again MSM speaking of the haves and have nots and the disadvantages of being black. In fact, an article that is so black specific that if I were any other color other than white, I would allow myself to be outraged. But I am not allowed to be outraged so I will just shake my head and say "typical."
Was it Tiger's talent, or his family, or his hard work, or his God given black athleticism that made him special? ( I just couldn't resist that one ) Or was it privilege?

Oh Great.

Hate to seem heartless, but this sets a dangerous precedent.

Garotzuva Stings Bush

Blah de blah, blah.

See even the supreme court hates Bush. Man, this writer is sure on to something. Maybe the Dems will start to follow suit.

I don't know anything about this guy or his blog, but if this post is accurate, then it is definitely worth the read.
