Even Russians Think America is Becoming Communist

Here is an article written by a Russian Journalist for a Russian paper.  It has been translated into English.  Have a read.  I think you will like it.

Another Thanksgiving Post

Did you know white people taught redskins how to scalp?  In fact they paid them to do it. That's how the scalping thing amongst injuns got started in the first place. White people showed them and then kinda forced them to do it. Isn't that weird? Nevermind this quote I found
"Probably the most dramatic skeletal example of prehistoric violence in North America comes from the Crow Creek Site in central South Dakota. Archaeological excavations revealed about 486 skeletons within a fortification ditch on the periphery of the habitation area. The site represents the Initial Coalescent period and dates to about 1325. P. Willey's analysis revealed that 90% of the individuals had cut marks characteristic of scalping."

Anyway, Quentin Tarantino revealed this truth about white settlers teaching the redman their scalping technique on NPR a few years ago after Inglorious Bastards hit the theaters.  I was so floored by his statement and by the fact that NPR didn't even challenge him on it that I spoke to "friends" of what I learned.  Little did I know, that according to the majority of the people I spoke to, Tarantino was right. And when I say "right" I mean they believed the same line of horse shit.  And when I say majority I mean two people.  Most everyone else never heard it or even cared. Still, Civil War... It's the only option.

Wolverines!

So, they're finally releasing the Red Dawn remake that has been sitting on a shelf in Hollywood for something like three years, because studio execs were afraid to piss off the Chinese, who apparently spend quite a bit of money on American movies. Both as consumers and as contributors. Well, that's awesome. Anyway, Hollywood's brilliant fix was to CGI all the Chinese flags into North Korean flags, because fuck believability, we're Hollywood. It is what we say it is. I, for one, have always been concerned that a backwards starving nation with all the military capability of at least Rhode Island might decide to one day invade us. Seriously, I don't even think Pelosi, given absolute power could get us to a place where North Korea could invade anytime soon.

So suffice it to say, this seems like it is destined to be a terrible film, and the critics agree. This thing is tracking at about 10% on Rotten Tomatoes. But then I read the reviews. And the overwhelming issue appears to be an inflated sense of patriotism in the movie. One reviewer called it a Tea Partiers wet dream. The story of American's having to stand up for themselves as the bumbling beaurocrats in D.C. twiddle there thumbs, unsure of how to act in the face of a real threat. Well, shit. Now I'm interested. I mean, it isn't that hard to just pretend that it's the Chinese invading. In fact, it's frighteningly easy. And I'm a big fan of patriotism.

This movie's major sin may only be that it did not punish us for our arrogance enough.  American Patriots are not to be lauded. American Patriots are meant to be ridiculed and derided by today's modern Global Patriot. Well, fuck that. I may actually go see this movie.

If The U.S. Had Another Civil War...

...I'd be happy to join.
I was talking to a buddy, well sort of a buddy and I asked him what he was doing for thanksgiving and he said "celebrating the day Pilgrims killed all the Native Americans."

I've had enough.
I really hate them all.
If there was another civil war I would join.

Public Facing Government Agencies Suck

There's no other way around that statement.

http://news.yahoo.com/post-office-reports-record-loss-15-9b-145003156.html

I generated my own meme...

Now if only I had the back bone to post it.

Yay Unions!

You are so awesome!

I Don't Wanna Live In This Reality

Conservatives would be alright if they would just follow the times, man.  I mean the world is more progressive now and they need to like... catch up. Ya know what I'm sayin', man? They're like, left behind. The voters are wiser now. It's their own fault. We've outgrown them.
You know, with the wars and global warming? We just wanna be free. To live the earth without the shackles of the worlds problems. We can't police everyone, man. And gay marriage, free healthcare, that's what matters, man. We need science to guide us through this life not religion or thousands of years of tradition. That's for old people. Science and doobies is where it's at, man. And while talking science and smoking doobies we can practice some, ya know, basic science... protection sponsored by the government, of course. If not we have government sponsored devices to solve any unwanted packages. It's cool, man. It's cool.

It's Lit To Pop, Nobody's Gonna Stop!

Are you ready for a middle east collapse? I know I am. In fact it couldn't happen at a better time if you ask me.

Liberals And Their Power Of Evasion

Hey, Liberals.  Can we please be honest?  You did not vote against Romney.  You voted for Obama. You did not vote against The GOP. You voted for The Democrats.

This letter is designed, in my opinion, to argue that it's The GOP's fault for their recent failures and not the entitlement society.  It confuses me. Global warming, healthcare, abortion, war, religion, gay marriage. It's as if conservatives have been petty about such things. If we just accept that on all these issues the left was right we can move on, otherwise be thrown in the trash heap of history. If you ask me, the letter is a victory lap and not a plea.
Of all the voters in the country, white male voters were the least of Romney's worries. I am having a hard time understanding what he is suggesting.  Latinos and African Americans are opposed to Gay Marriage.  Why did they vote democrat?  Latinos also oppose abortion and so why did they vote Democrat?  Now The GOP is running towards amnesty which is an issue I've never given two shits about.  It wont hurt them, but it wont help them either.
The writer voted for Obama and is blaming The GOP for his decision.  I find that disgusting.

When did The Onion start writing real stories, because I can't find the joke here? I see this happen all the time at my job.

Did Someone Say Weed And Gay Marriage?

Maybe You Guys Already Saw This

But here it is just in case.  I agree.

More Of The Same

I've seen this picture about 5 times in the last day.  One day... 5 times.
And yes, I saw it on facebook. I don't think it was enough or fair to keep it on my feed and so I'm posting it here so that I may enjoy it more and more.
:-)
See what they did here? Woody is the American cowboy. Sorta old fashioned, afraid of new things and Buzz is the future. Buzz is helping Woody open his eyes and not be afraid, but Woody is afraid. Therefore we all laugh at him because he is just an old fashioned cowboy we've sorta outgrown. We don't hate him, in fact we still sorta love him, but we've outgrown him too.
And what is the future? Gay marriage and weed. That is awesome.

Why The GOP Will Never Win Again

Obama won the young vote

Unless the GOP start doing interviews with Rolling Stone or making "My First Time" videos then this will not change.

And now for conspiracies.
Which party made it easier for kids to go to college where they vote overwhelmingly for Democrats?
Which party wants the voting age dropped to 16?
And Which party gave 26 year olds the ability to stay on their parents insurance?
For me the proof is there.  That is why gay marriage, weed, womens contraception etc. are all BS issues.  Obama is not going to do anything about Gay Marriage or marijuana.  Those two are a state matter.  All he had to do was publicly fall on the side of gay marriage and oh so secretly reveal that he was apart of the Choom gang and he was one of them. As for women's contraception, well he left that up to Sandra Fluke.  Does anyone really believe that contraception was in danger? Once her job was done, poor Fluke was thrown aside. Our country is being driven by children.  People talk about their concern that we're leaving this country worse off for the kids when it's the kids who are doing it to themselves.

Puerto Rico Votes To Become 51st State

I would post the link but I don't want to.  Just take my word for it.
Here is the money quote showing one young voters enthusiasm
“We’re doing okay, but we could do better. We would receive more benefits, a lot more financial help.”

A Sobering Thought

5 out of the last 6 Republican candidates have lost the popular vote.  Should we tell ourselves that a more conservative candidate will do better or is the brand forever tarnished?

Wow, It Just Gets Worse

Anyone wanna move to Texas?

2/3 Supermajority for Dems in CA

Tweaking The Electoral College

I don't want to do away with it, I understand why it exists and I agree, but I do think that the "winner takes all votes" approach needs to go.

I Agree With These Predictions

Taken from a friend on FB:

My predictions for the next four years:

1 - Further erosion of the First Amendment
2 - Full out assault on the Second Amendment
3 - Further egregious expansion and misuse of the Commerce Clause
4 - Continued erosion of the Tenth Amendment
5 - Another credit rating downgrade in the next nine months
6 - Skyrocketing costs for gasoline, food, and electricity that will make the last four years look tame
7 - Less access and higher costs for healthcare resulting in a government takeover of the entire system (which was the stated goal to begin with)
8 - Burgeoning bureaucracy
9 - Unemployment numbers climbing above 10%
10 - Further radicalization of our youth through indoctrination
11 - Continued abdication of social values to political correctness
12 - Further loss of our cultural identity to mandatory "diversity"
13 - The US Dollar will no longer be the world's currency
14 - Military cuts that make Red Dawn a real possibility
15 - The US will devolved into a European-style, fiscally-insolvent, semi-socialistic has-been super power
16 - Like many European countries, we will have to endure austerity measures
17 - There will be many "temporary" measures taken in the name of the "common good" and "shared sacrifice" and how we have to do our "fair share."

Why do I believe this? Because potus will likely appoint at least two Supreme Court justices and for as much as it's overused, we are headed towards a fiscal cliff with unsustainable expenditures.

Those two alone will secure most of these predictions.

Please read Atlas Shrugged to see where this 'vision' will lead us eventually and ask yourself if that's what you think America is.

Keep working. Write your congressmen and senators. Stay involved and ensure your voice is heard.

Our Republic will endure...

Sour Grapes

My facebook is also blowing up. Excitement and demonization all rolled into one. Words like mysogonist, bigot and homophobes are a regular theme. One friend simply stated "Romney is an asshole" after the results. At first I thought we were voting on the state of the economy and national security, but my fb friends made it clear that we were voting on same-sex marriage and legalizing marijuana. Who knew?

There was a person who showed a little more awareness of the issues by posting this:
Photo
He is right to infer that this where we are headed.

Today I am having a serious problem with the I told you so's.
Now part of me wants this country to fail on so many levels.  I want us to sink into economic depression only so that I can watch others suffer. Not everyone, just the people on my facebook feed.
I want to see long lines at the doctors office and I want $9.00 gas. I want Israel to burn and China to become the beacon on the hill.  Putin as a man of the people and Islam the law of the land. I want us to be humiliated and forgotten only so that I can see it on my facebook feed.  And I want to see them still blame people like me for the worlds problems, because it is the only constant that we have right now. Liberalism is out of the box and here to stay. Obamacare was my biggest concern. It is now apart of the rest of my life and I resent it.

Whew....

Now that I got that off my chest I am looking to the future.  I am focusing on my friends, family and myself.  I'll do what I have always done.  I'll vote when it's time, go to work, pay bills, celebrate the holidays and even continue to write on this blog.  But most importantly I am going to hide every liberal on my facebook.

Well...

Much like a date with a proctologist, that ended predictably.

Facebook is blowing up. Which is awesome. I love the idea that these people will all be hung by their own petard as I laugh and point while China forecloses on us. Because being right is what America is all about.

I can't hate my friends for being such utter jag-offs on the Facebook. Their party tells them that is how modern enlightened Americans behave. That is how their leader behaves. Who am I kidding, though? There would have been plenty of ha-ha-ing from the other side if the other guy had won, but I know it wouldn't have been me. I haven't and will probably never use social media to call my friends stupid for their political beliefs, but that's just me. And truthfully, I know the other guy wasn't all that spectacular either. But given the alternative...

I'm ashamed of this country. I'm ashamed of the selfishness that drives people to vote for a man who promises things he can't possibly deliver. I'm ashamed of adults who cling to the naive belief that there is a perfect world. A Utopia built on compassion and promises with no foundation in the real world. I'm ashamed of a society that refuses to grow up and shapes it's views by standing around at cocktail parties and patting other likeminded, shiftless children on the back for agreeing with them.

What a sucky day.

Bread and Circuses

I called Blog-ust to make sure he wasn't standing on a chair with a noose around his neck.  Guess I over reacted, 'cuz he was fine.

We had a good conversation on multiple issues, but one he brought to light, which I did really get, is that Facebook is blowing up over things like gay marriage and pot.  It is still not really sinking in because to me these are hardly important issues.

Are people really that naive?  They don't care about the real problems facing our country but are content over things like legal pot and gay marriage?  Has America really reached the Bread and Circuses stage?

My goodness, I hope not.

This is Too Good

First off, it appears if you don't subscribe to anthropogenic global warming, you are now called a "Global Warming Denier." You know, like a "Holocaust Denier." Basically, you're a fucking Nazi. Ah, the Nazis. How would anyone these days ever feel like they won an argument without the Nazis? We owe them so much.

The other wonderful thing about this article is that editors on Wikipedia have for years been notoriously deleting any dissenting opinions on man-made global warning, but as is their modus operandi, when someone turns the tables they cry foul. Poor things have to acknowledge that someone disagrees with them. This never happens when their hanging out with all their really intelligent friends. Some people just shouldn't be allowed on the internet.

Of course, what do I know? I'm just another Global Warming Denier.

I Have A Game

Count all the October surprises Zombie points out on this list that you remember.

If Obama wins he's not gonna have a very fun second term.  The people usually sour on presidents during their second term anyway, especially one, I imagine, that was so close to losing. The media will sour as well but only after the people do first. Journalists will finally start reporting and FOX news, the channel Obama demonized the most, will be leading the way.  Everything will be fair game and readers will seek out those who are reporting only troubling news.

Benghazi will be the beginning.

I really do believe this will happen if Obama wins and it's not sour grapes talking either.  He is really gonna be hatin his second term. If the people can turn on Clinton and Reagan, which they did, then they can certainly turn on this clown.

The New Normal?

Super storms like Sandy are the New Normal according to the media today, and I say it's about time people started to realize it. Does Garotzuva have to step on your house to make you see the light. We've never had powerful storms in the past. And certainly not two in the same decade! We're all gonna die! The only salvation is more govenrment spending and taxing corporations and rich people. Thank God Global Warming acted before it was too late!

I Should Know Better to Stay Out of the Prediction Business

Reading today's conservative blogs you can see bloggers cherry picking the latest polls. Not a good sign since that is what happened during the McCain campaign.
Good grief

I'm Not Done Talking Dead. Get It?

So, I just posted this response to something Blog-ust said about the Walking Dead in another post, but I didn't want it to get buried because I really want to talk about this show. So here it is, the context being that the show seems to have gooten much better this seaon:

I watched it pretty much for the Videogum recaps up until now. It's a good thing the show is getting good, because Videogum stopped doing the recaps, and without them I'd have stopped watching a while ago.

Sophia coming out of the barn should have been a powerful moment, but to me it just kind of sucked because they dragged that storyline on so long and it was kind of muted because Rick shot a little girl in the face in the very first episode. At some point it makes you wonder if Rick just hates little girls. Clearly, the writers do.

And even after that, characters like Lori, Andrea and Dale were so flip floppy in their actions that it became distracting. And Shane was comically evil sometimes, while at other times seeming like the most rational person in the room. Killing him off was long overdue.

As I said before, the writers have basically come right out and had the surviving characters apologize for being so poorly written up until now, and so far it's been a good thing.

I do, however, have a teensy problem with so completely flipping the switch on Rick. Yes, he always needed to be more of a bad-ass, take charge type, but dropping a machete in the inmates head was so outside the character they established that it really didn't work for me. I mean, basically, it makes his killing Shane seem much worse than it already was. Like, "I'm going to kill the wildcard so I can be the wildcard?" Why not just kill everybody who's a problem like Shane wanted to do all along. I mean, you save the kid who's shooting at you in town, but you then let zombie's eat the inmate who didn't even actively try to kill you? Weird.

Chris Christie = Pappy O'Daniel

Damn! Opportunity knocks!

Interesting

I'm curious. Where are all the stories of rape and pillaging in New York? How come nobody's really blaming anybody for the power not being back on? Have we gotten so much better at disaster preparedness after Katrina under The One, or is the media giving Obama a pass like they did with BP? It must be hard on the media to convey the enormity of Hurricane Sandy and inspire people to donate and pitch in, while at the same time acting like it's not really a big deal and assigning zero blame to anybody for whatever it is we are expected to blame people for in the case of a disaster.

I guess the other possibility is that people in New Orleans are just horrible, but that seems like the kind of generalization you're not really allowed to make.

I'm Done With Christie

when I first saw this
I was like, "Oh ok, no big deal.  He's a politician."
Then I saw this
and

and

I'm now done with fat man
