This is Great
Not for the article about the horrors of spanking, but for the overwhelming response in the comments from people who disagree. Glimmer of hope.

Quick Question
Recently someone crunched the numbers and claimed that if voter turnouts in 2012 had mirrored 2004 in terms of ethnicity, Romney would have won the election by a slight margin. However, because black voters turned out in record numbers for the second time, and voted overwhelmingly in favor of Obama, he won. So, there is no way Hilary is the Democratic candidate in 2016, right? She can't carry the black vote. And if they can't run some sort of immigration reform that allows illegal aliens to vote AND manage to get them to, that rules out a hispanic candidate (incidentally, some Republicans seem to want this too, thinking Rubio could win the hispanic vote for them). So, when will the left trot out their next black candidate? They have to, right? This President isn't going to get any better over the next few years, so clearly they are going to have to but those votes again.
This all assumes, of course, that there isn't a push to do away with term limits between now and then.

The Million Dollar Question
There is no denying that Sandy Hook, Chris Dorner and this very recent Vegas shootout-cum-fiery explosion are national stories tailor-made for 24 hour mediagasms, but it seems like every single gun incident is covered ad nauseum right now even if it wouldn't normally warrant much attention outside its own community. Even the Vegas thing might not have gotten this much play if the debate on guns wasn't such a hot button issue right now. So the question is this. Is there a real uptick in gun violence, or just a significant uptick in coverage?
