Ugh.

It irks me to no end the way the gay community pushes young people to identify gay as early as possible in order to increase their base. In this age of increasing sexual ambiguity, it seems to me that many young people who may only be in an experimental phase are being forced to proclaim their "allegiance" to homosexuality. It's ironic that back in the day, the hetero-Christian community were the ones pointing and shouting "gay" at any questionable action, and now it's the gay community that's doing it.

Another problem I have here is the acknowledgement of sexual orientation of children under the age of consent. Would the gay community prefer for us to lower that age to 13 or 14? I suspect they would not mind, because then they might make a case for lowering the voting age. Maybe they can hook up with NAMBLA and get to work on this. I know that may seem obtuse, and I am being facetious to some degree here, but my point really is that these people need to let the children be stupid children and stop trying to use them to further their political agenda. I fear they could be doing real damage with their tolerance-mongering.

Well, at least they're not making them sing about it.

SNL Skit Update

Remember that banned SNL skit that I posted a couple of days ago? And remember when people were speculating that the reason it was banned was because it named names?
Well they were right and wrong.

"What also was excised was any mention of the involvement of Massachusetts' Rep. Frank in the Sandler subprime mess."

But I still no longer care.

Getting Used To Standing In Bread Lines

And getting used to Utopia.

The beauty of universal healthcare means no insurance companies, no doctor patient relationships, no incentive and no accountability. Awesome!

The wonders of the fairness doctrine and the death of talk radio. The only balance to the MSM. Bye bye free speech.

Loving the idea of equal pay for equal work. No longer will we reward people for ability and hard work. Equality is the name of the game now.

And don't let me forget that there will be no incentive for someone to try and earn over $200,000 ($250,000 if you are married). The strive for wealth will finally be dampened and greedy money grubbers will no longer exist. (by the way, since married couples get taxed at $250,000, what is the incentive for both to work. Or to get married at all for that matter)

Investing in the Stock Market? Yeah Right! Pull your money out now while you still can, even though the market is shit, because if you don't it will be taxed 50% more in 4 months.

Ahhhh the Corporate tax. What a wonderful idea. Now we can drive the rest of them corporations overseas. GET OUT OF HERE YOU GREEDY PIGS!

Ooh ooh, I almost forgot. 3 new judges. People have been focusing on Roe v Wade for so long that they forgot about a lefty, I mean, utopian judgment that was ruled about 4 years ago. The new and improved version of eminent domain. Now that private property is no longer taken by just the state, but by another private party as well....? Well then I say "Hellooooo China."

Who says there is a seperation of church and state? We have Garotzuva, who never was the God of Global Warming as far as I was concerned. To me, he has always been the God of greed and excess. Captialism has lead us astray, boys, and we should let Garotzuva remind us of that.

Lastly, don't forget our new allies, Los Tres Chiflados. The membership of this group has changed so much over the last 3 years that I can't keep up. But you can rest assure that Hugo "Moe" Chavez will be there. Amen to that.

There is more, but why bore us all. Now that we will be livin' in a Utopian society, well then, I want to go out and PLAAAYYYYYY!!!!!

SNOOZER!

That debate was as boring as can be. I watched about, ohhh, 10 minutes. The moment McCain proposed yet another bailout I threw up in my mouth a little, composed myself and then I split. Went to the office and read the threads on my computer.
With all that said I have concluded one thing.
McCain needed a homerun and he didn't hit it.
It's going to take a miracle.

What???

President of the Los Angeles chapter of N.O.W. endorses Palin?
I have no words

My Case To Lefties

Again, nice try on the Palin thing. You watched the debate and I saw your expression after it was over. Your tone has changed over the days. She did great and everyone knows it and unlike what I did with the McCain/Obama debate, I don't need to read the polls to tell me that.

Now that the Couric interview is behind her, because of this debate, she can go back to what she was doing before and that is to bash Obama and push McCain's agenda.
And she is doing it!
Her words carry a lot more weight now and I guarantee the "little foreign policy experience she has" argument will subside. (Biden has ran for pres twice and now once for VP and is a so called Foreign policy expert. Palin has been at it for 5 weeks and cruised through the last debate. That makes an impression)

As for Captain Know Nothing Do Nothing, B. Obama, he might be our next President, but remember, many people said the same thing back in '04 and a lot of my friends pulling for Kerry were like, "what happened?" I know that this election is a little different from the last election since Bush's approval ratings weren't where they are today and Iraq had not yet experienced the '06 catastrophe it has now gone through, but the more McCain successfully seperates himself from Bush, and the more he appears to be the man of experience, then the more people will look at McCain and Obama side by side. I like McCain's odds if that happens.

Also, It was one month ago today when McCain was leading in the polls and there is still a month to go. Anything can happen.

The Palin/Biden debate may not be the answer for a McCain win, but it has made the next two McCain/Obama debates much more important and it gave her politcal clout. Her future is very much in play for the Republicans.
Obama surged over Clinton and then collapsed in the last two months. The same thing could happen again. Obama will be pressed more on what he is going to do as president. But unfortunately for Obama, it is starting to appear that what he meant by change was that a Democrat will be president and not a Republican.

I think that if Obama wins it will be because of two things. People's hatred of Bush (and since he is a Republican...) and Obama's speeches (cult of personality). There is nothing else that he can point to.
Without a single accomplishment to his name, I think that this argument still stands.

Sure, people are pointing to the economy as an Obama strength, but if McCain/Palin can really push home that Obama will raise income tax (he keeps saying that only the top 5% will have a tax increase and the rest of the 95% of the population will have tax cuts, but when only 2/3 of the country pay income tax as it is and the top 50% of that 2/3 pay 97% of the total, and that small businesses making over $250,000 will be hit, it is hard to understand what he means. Federal welfare for the bottom 1/3 since they already don't pay anything?) capital gains tax, death tax, (etc.) and plans 1 trillion more in new spending, I think the people will realize that his idea of change is socialism and we now know how well the govt. is able to take care of the people after this last bailout.

To look on the bright side, Obama winning acclompishes two things for me. Proof that anyone can run for President and that the system of our govt. works and also that there will be more people voting Republican in 4 years.

Negative side, Obama will be worse than Jimmy Carter as President.

I have changed my profile to suit the times. I am no longer going to debate which party is better. We are now officially socialists. Don't even begin to deny it because you know it to be true. Free Market capitalism is over and I don't know when it is coming back. Not in this country in our lifetime. Read this heartwarming article. Answers in life are a lot easier than we care to admit. There is no doubt that both the Republicans and Democrats have marched us down a brand new economic path. I don't care that George Bush wanted to privatise Fannie Mae. He didn't and neither did the Replubican house or senate when they had total control. Now we are in a bailout. Please don't try to engage me in any further discussions about the U.S. Econony. I don't care.

I Want A Mistrial

In case you haven't heard, Gwen Ifill, the moderator for tonights debate, has written a pro-Obama book that is to be released on inauguration day. This gives her a vested interest in tonights debate outcome, becuase if Obama is elected, she stands to sell thousands. If not, the only people who will read it will be her friends and family.
But how would someone like Ifill be able to influence the debate one way or another without seeming biased? All she does is ask questions, right?
Ace gives us an awesome example of what she and Biden might do. This is a must read. Very entertaining.
Oh well, I still feel that Palin has her head on straight and was the right pick.

UPDATE: Ifill's cousin says Palin is offensive to black women
“From the first day, Palin presented herself as shooting a bear in the morning, field dressing it, cooking up the breakfast, diapering the babies, passing legislation in the afternoon, cleaning the house, satisfying her husband, etc., etc., etc. And it’s just not true,” she wrote in an e-mail interview. “It’s hard to be an average working mom, really hard. And when women who are privileged present as though they have it all together, it’s offensive to black women.”

Earmarks, Earmarks, Earmarks

You hear McCain talking about things called earmarks, but what are they? They are usually non related items tacked on to an important bill. The tacked on items tend to be things to pay off those who gave you money during your campaign, or things that will make you look good to your constituency. Seems to me that they are also a way for lawmakers to play catch-up on things they are behind on, like: "Oh crap, forgot about that issue. I promised to have it done last week, guess I'll just tack it onto this bill..." Since most people focus on the big issue the bill or law is designed for, these other tacked on earmark things never get noticed.

Here we are in this big financial "meltdown" mess, and the house and senate are still putting unrelated earmarks into a bill which is supposed to help with the US and global financial system. Here are a few earmarks on the bailout bill currently being discussed in the Senate. What an utter joke:

New Tax earmarks in Bailout bill
- Film and Television Productions (Sec. 502)
- Wooden Arrows designed for use by children (Sec. 503)
- 6 page package of earmarks for litigants in the 1989 Exxon Valdez incident, Alaska (Sec. 504)

Tax earmark “extenders” in the bailout bill.
- Virgin Island and Puerto Rican Rum (Section 308)
- American Samoa (Sec. 309)
- Mine Rescue Teams (Sec. 310)
- Mine Safety Equipment (Sec. 311)
- Domestic Production Activities in Puerto Rico (Sec. 312)
- Indian Tribes (Sec. 314, 315)
- Railroads (Sec. 316)
- Auto Racing Tracks (317)
- District of Columbia (Sec. 322)
- Wool Research (Sec. 325)

More discussion here.

Pro-Life Obama

Before I start I want to say that, once again, I don't care to talk about my abortion views on this site. Nor do I condemn people for their views on the matter. So please don't take this post the wrong way.
But I have to say that this is the biggest steaming pile of dung that I have ever read and needs to be exposed. Obama is very pro-choice and to say otherwise is just plain stupid. He has voted against the ban of partial birth abortion and for giving medical assistance to babies after a botched abortion. Those are just the facts and the facts don't point to a pro-life stance one little bit.

Again I am not here to question why someone is pro-choice or pro-life, but this sort of dishonesty sickens me and I think this woman would agree.

Bush Effigy = Good Obama Effigy = Bad

My co-worker's daughter goes to this school and so I am a little interested in this story.
Though I think it is stupid to erect effigies, not to mention an effigy of Obama hanging from a tree (considering the whole Jena 6 fiasco), I also think that the amount of attention paid to this is a little shocking.... No wait, what am I talking about? It isn't at all shocking.
These 4 students are going to be in trouble for awhile and even after all the facts get sorted out, the only words people will remember from this will be: Obama, tree, hang, christian school. Oh, and maybe the words "scholarship and leadership program for minority and low-income student" will be remembered too.

Anywho, enjoy this picture from Oregon Live.

Terrifying...

...and funny. This part about the original Friday the 13th is gold:

It wasn't just a more innocent time at the movie theater. As a country, we just didn't really give a shit about anything in the 80s. Smoking laws were more relaxed, seat belts weren't mandatory, and a little up-and-comer named crack cocaine was poking its twitchy little head around the corner. It was a simpler time, when a woman could say "My son drowned because your counselors were off having sex " and the owners of the camp could respond "Yeah, I hear ya lady. But seriously, eat shit. Camp stays open."

Essie Mae & Bernie Mac

Is racism still an issue?
I say yes. I do believe there is racism in this country.
I see it when I read that 96% of blacks are voting for Obama.
I see it when the former CEO of Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines (a black man and Obama's economic advisor), is in the middle of a race baiting controversy.
Or when I watch this video of the 2004 Democratic party tell us there is no problem with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and that Raines was doing a fine job.

There is racism in this campaign but I don't think we should be looking at the Republicans or the McCain camp.

Who Won The Debate?

Yesterday the Drudge Report and MSNBC both conducted Polls to see who won the Debate between McCain and Obama. Drudge had over 400,000 voters with 68% going to McCain and 30% going to Obama.
MSNBC had over 850,000 voters with 52% going to Obama and 34% going to McCain.

So what is the deal here? Well it looks as though 94% of the people voting on Drudge came from the U.S. while 6% of the voters were from foreign countries.
MSNBC, on the other hand, had a situation where 21% of the voters were from the U.S. and 79% were from foreign countries. (no shock that rest of world wants Obama as our President)

You can find out more here at Deaf Republicans.

Deaf Republicans combined the total amount of U.S. voters from Drudge with the total amount of U.S. voters from MSNBC and came up with these numbers below.

"McCain: 261,233 + 62,444 = 323,677 Americans who think John McCain won the debate.
Obama: 115,769 + 95,504 = 211,273 Americans who think Barack Hussein Obama won the debate.
With the combined tally results from both Drudge and MSNBC online poll results perhaps we can safely say that McCain won the debate decisevly in a landslide fashion with him capturing 61% of the total online poll votes!!"

On the other hand Rasmussen has the debate at a virtual tie
And USAToday/Gallup has it with an Obama lead
Zogby has Obama by a nose

For my part, I say McCain had to not look old (which he did)
And Captain Know Nothing, Do Nothing needed to look presidential (I guess he did)
Overall I thought McCain beat his ass, but whatever, what else would I think, right?

Palin needs to do well against Biden and though I'm confident that she can handle him, I still have to face the facts. The Sheen is off.
She will need to kick-butt.
I know SNL is in the tank for Obama/Biden (don't expect them to do a joke about this) most people wont see it that way and Republicans can't complain because it will just seem like sour grapes.

NYT Crossword Puzzle. Obama Frquent Answer, McCain Never.

I don't mind if NYTimes or the LATimes are liberal newspapers. Talk radio is mostly conservative and I like that, but the difference is, is that talk radio will admit their right leanings. Newspapers like NYT and LAT never come clean. They try an act as if they are objective when they are not.

Here is another example of who it is exactly that reads these papers and who writes these papers.
It is a small example, but I am a firm believer that you can learn a lot through pop-culture.

CNN Finally Reporting The Whole Story

CNN was all to happy to drive home the point that Palin was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it, but they ignored the part about how Biden and Obama both voted for the bridge, twice. Better late then never, I guess.

He Says He Is An Obama Supporter

But he is really on our side. He doesn't have much to say about Obama and rarely smiles when speaking about him, but watch what happens when he speaks about Todd Palin. The man practically gives him a tongue bath.
All gush and all smiles.
(by the way, drink everytime Clinton says "I" or "me")

Now read what this spazoid lib has to say about it. Very funny.

The Contrast Is Stark

ALL the Republicans voted for it.
ALL the Democrats voted against it.

Read report here
and
If the McCain camp is right, looks though NYTimes is doing Obama's job for him. Smear McCain
and
Plus, one poll has Obama with his first real lead. 9 points, which covers the margin of error.

Joe Biden: The Man Who Keeps On Giving

All candidates make gaffes, but Biden appears to be topping 'em all with this doozy.
"When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed,"

"As Reason's Jesse Walker footnotes it: "And if you owned an experimental TV set in 1929, you would have seen him. And you would have said to yourself, 'Who is that guy? What happened to President Hoover?'"

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Democrat hero, time traveler and T.V. Pioneer.

Palin Showing That She Has Better 'Foreign Policy' Judgment Than Democrats. Meeting With Our Allies, Not Our Enemies

While Obama says he will meet with men like Hugo "Moe" Chavez without preconditions,
(The same chiflado who had this to say recently)

"democrats dodged President Uribe this week in Washington, Palin was eager to meet the great Colombian leader."
Hmmmm isn't Colombia right next door to and no friend of Venezuela?

Two More Reasons I'm Looking Forward To Palin/Jindal '12

Palin's image of Garotzuva?

Palin wants drilling in ANWR
and has her doubts about Garotzuva.

NPR Asks The Tough Questions

I'm sure most of you know by now that Sarah Palin was once invited to speak at a rally to protest Ahmadinejad and then was disinvited shortly afterward. Apparently Hillary planned on attending the rally as well, but opted out after she caught word that Palin was also attending the rally. Obama and Biden both refused to attend. (another example that Democrat's calls for bringing Americans together and working with others across the aisle or their belief in solidarity is B.S. Also, another example that liberals hate conservatives more than they hate crazy dictators) After Hillary said she wouldn't attend, Palin was asked not attend.
Want to learn why? read this.
Palin was to give a terrific speech which you can read here. Please read it. You will love every word.
Ironically, Palin had this to say inside her speech
"Senator Clinton understands the nature of this threat and what we must do
to confront it. This is an issue that should unite all Americans. Iran should
not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Period. And in a single voice, we
must be loud enough for the whole world to hear: Stop Iran!"

Clearly Clinton does not understand the nature of this threat. And as I said before, Clinton is more interested in stopping Republicans than she is in stopping Iran.

Now onto NPR
Looks as if they had a sitdown with Ahmadinejad.
One question they asked of him was whether Wack-Job liked the Beatles or Led Zeppelin
I'm not kidding.

The story was so gross and so out there that my Bullshit alarm was firing on full tilt.

Now here we are, 3 months later and Ka-POW sends this video to my e-mail titled "Home Depot Ad" and what do you know, it is the exact some story. EXACTLY THE SAME STORY!
But I coudln't embed the video from my e-mail and so I went to youtube, but the description on youtube says nothing about it being a home depot ad and claims that it is a true story. Can anyone shed some light on this mystery?

The New Messiah?

We joked about the number of people who showed for Obama's rally here in Portland. It was the biggest showing at that time with 70,000+.
Well 60,000 showed up for Palin in Florida
Hmmmm a new cult of personality?
My bias says, of course not. Portland is the Borg collective with very few Republicans. I don't know if Oregon has ever voted for a Republican, while Florida is a battleground state 6 times the population of Oregon. I say she just rallied a Republican base that is becoming more concerned about an Obama presidency.
Ahhh, who am I foolin
It is more likely that people are again geeked over another "celebrity" candidate.

Two More Has-Beens Sound Off

Woody Allen "It would be a disgrace and a humiliation if Barack Obama does not win,"
and
Sandra Bernhard "Sarah Palin not to come into Manhattan lest she get gang-raped by some of Sandra’s big black brothers"

Maybe Woody Allen isn't a has-been, but I'm not certain and I didn't want to feel MC's wrath by falsely calling him a celebrity

Who Says Dems And Republicans Can't Come Together?

When it came to bailing out AIG, I'm sure the two parties were in full agreement. I wonder why?
"Twenty-seven lawmakers owned stock in AIG last year, worth between $6.4 million and $20 million."
Good thing lawmakers have control over the people's purse strings or that might have been a close one.

Update On Bottled Water Deal.

So, a couple of weeks ago I posted that a group of people at my work were trying to remove bottled water from our vending machines and conference rooms in the name of conservation, and I treated you to a typical e-mail from one of my hippy co-workers. Today there are new signs that just went up in our breakrooms encouraging people to drink our filtered water out of mugs instead of using bottled water. The signs show a graphic of a generic water bottle filled 1/3 full of oil and it is accompanied by the poorly worded message "Every Bottle of water you drink uses this much Oil per Bottle." Aside from being redundant, I'm pretty sure that's a lie. I mean, where do they get this? Is that the amount of oil it takes to make a bottle's worth of plastic? to run the machine that makes the bottles? Seems a bit much. And seriously, I'm going to need you to master the English language before I start following your lead. Just wanted to pass this along.
