Uh Huh
For My Democratic Friends:
"Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for
an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress,
non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday,
practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion
of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the
religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice
not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. We also wish you a
fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated
recognition of the of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but not
without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose
contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that
America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America
in the Western Hemisphere. And without regard to the race, creed, color,
age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishees.
By accepting these greetings you are accepting these terms. This greeting
is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with
no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher
to actually implement any of the wishes for herself or himself or others,
and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion
of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the
usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the
issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and
warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish
at the sole discretion of the wisher."
For My Republican Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Rally drivers are some kind of crazy breed. This clip is from 23 years ago. This car is RWD, no ABS, no turbo, no computer, etc.

I'm Reserving Judgment...
...til the movie comes out, but if you say this trailer doesn't give you goosebumps, you are full of it.
Update:
Here's my concern, though. If I remember correctly, the Decepticons and the Autobots were fighting over something like Energon Cubes, I think. And we were in the way, I think. I worry that the motivations may be changed for the movie. I fear that the Decepticons will come to Earth to take away our planet and our resources because we longer deserve them due to Global Warming. The Autobots, who will no doubt be solar powered, will believe we can still learn to be eco-friendly. At least one of the Autobots (My bet is Bumblebee) will at some point take a "What if the Decepticons are right? What if there is no hope for the human race?" stance. He will somehow be saved by a human and learn that humans are basically good, then the doubting Autobot will play a major role in defeating the Decpticons. By the end of the movie, the Autobots will be showing people how to make solar powered SUVs, showing humanity that their dependence on fossil fuels is a wasteful endeavor. Hmm, actually that sounds like a great movie!

Very, Very, Very Clever.
Uber bias magazine, Newsweek, has Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on its cover this week. The article is called "Is America Ready?" What shit. Talk about about appealing to your guilt gland. In other words, if you don't vote for Hillary or Obama, then you are a racist and sexist.

A Time For Choosing
I was listening to Michael Medved today and he was doing a special on Ronald Reagan. One of the bits that really caught my attention was a speech he wrote and delivered at Goldwater's campaign in 1964. Give it a listen. It is called "A Time For Choosing" and it is about three bullets done from the top. It is funny how relevant this speech is to todays world.
Prepare To Be Changed.
This is just too awesome for words.

Uncanny.
I just watched a Matthew McConaughey movie last night and this impression by Matt Damon is dead on in so many ways it's scary.

Check me out!. I'm Back...
...and I'm political. Just finished a fun interview with Earth's Savior, Al Gore, from last week's issue of Time. What's my favorite part, you ask?
Time asks, or says rather:
There are many people who still doubt the science. Senator James Inhofe, head of the Senate's environmental committee, has condemned global-warming science as "hoax."
Gore's reply:
There's some good news here. Senator Inhofe will soon be replaced by Senator Barbara Boxer, an advocate of solving the crisis, as chairwoman of that committee. As to why there are still skeptics--there are people who believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona. Another reason is that some of the largest polluters are still putting millions of dollars a year to hire pseudo scientists to confuse people into thinking that this crisis isn't real.
Click here for the whole wonderful thing. I can't figure out why they forgot to ask why nobody has freaked out about global warning since 1984 when it was supposed to kill us all the first time.

John Bolton out Michael Bolton in
Sad day for the US. Guess its time to replace him with someone who thinks getting yelled at by, lets say Namibia, actually matters.
I just love how this article goes as far as to quote some German Green party candidate... My God.
Out with the Bull, in with a Pussy.
