So, if you haven't seen Joe Wilson call Obama a liar during his healthcare sales pitch, here it is:
Now, let's see if the media actually takes a break from vilifying Wilson to actually poke into the facts of the allegation. If that happens, Wilson will be a true American hero.

Two things, did you notice the President shrank the number from 47 million uninsured to 3o+ million uninsured? People saying that the reason the number shrank is due to the fact that people realized the orginal number included illegals and so the President adjusted the number and so in a way he is lying.
The second thing he said was that that medicare wouldn't be touched, but the AP points out, shockingly enough, that is also untrue. $500 billion over five years will be taken from medicare. Obama says that will be the result of cutting out fraud and waste, but does anyone really believe they will be able to cut out fraud and waste? If they could they would have done it by now. The whole point of people's of objections to govt. run healthcare is that it is inefficient. Fraud and waste go hand in hand and the idea that they will reduce waste to support this program is also, by definition, a lie.
Oh and one more thing, what I find the worst play of words is this idea that we should support the govt. option because it will allow for competition. Now I don't know about you guys, but everybody I've heard from who supports the govt. option, including the President, also support the single payer system. How can a group of people who support a system that allows for zero competition, which is what the single payer system would do, say to us that the reason they support the govt. option is that it will promote competition when they would have no love for competition if the plan they really wanted was enacted? This is pandering of the worst kind.
There would be no competition between private insurance and a Government option. That is a joke.
