Now This Is A Series I Can Get Behind

Kevin Spacey to play Scientology type cult leader. Shouldn't be hard for him. All he has to do is bring back his character from the movie Seven.
Let me be clear, I am not a big fan of harrassing people about their faith. I think it is humbling to recognize that there is something out there bigger than we are. Something we don't understand. It reminds us that we are small and to not over inflate our own importance and that we still have a lot to learn.
But following one man who promises salvation while taking all the money and all the women. Well that sounds more like Islam or the Mormons. :)

and yes I realize that Warren Jeffs is a mormon. So I'll replace him with Jimmy Lee Farnsworth from Fletch 2 who was a parody of a real life pasture named Peter Popoff.

Bad apples yes, but the religion itself doesn't condone their behaviour. Islam and Mormons (at least Mormons use to) do. That is the difference. Finding individuals who are rotten is easy, but finding whole groups who behave in bad behaviour, well then that is a cult. Guys like Swaggart suffered from his behaviour in the public eye. Mohammed and Smith are revered for taking many young women as brides (9 years old in Mohammed's case) for being the only founder of the religion and for expecting, not suggesting, but expecting money given to their churches. The guys you named fell from grace with their behaviour, the two I named did not.
