Now that McClellan is going around promoting his new lefty stroke book, I think it is only fair to give both sides of the story.
Here is McClellan on Olbermann last night

5/08 Turning Out To Be Safest Month Since War Began
Before 8 months ago the average death rate throughout the war was roughly 2.5 American Soldiers a day. The last 8 months has averaged 1.13 a day and May '08 is so far standing at 0.6 a day. Lets pray it lowers 0.0 a day by the end of next month.

You Make The Call
Czech President, Vaclav Klaus, compared the environmentalist "idealogy" to the USSR. To be clear he wasn't comparing the act of protecting a stream or river or improving the quality of air to the USSR, but the idealogy of environmentalism itself.
Here is an interview he did a year ago. I would like to show his most recent, but I can't find it.
Now read this article which insists that obesity leads to global warming.
So what do they suggest we do? Use Stalin like tactics to get people thinner?
Nevermind the fact that atheletes eat twice as much and ride in planes daily. Nevermind the politicians who ride in planes and drive around in motorcades, or the business man who has eetings between SF and New York, or the work-outaholics who eat and eat and eat, but use the gym to shed the weight using electricty to run their lifecycle, or the sales rep who flys once to twice a month... etc. No, no, no, it is the fat people... only. All this and we still don't even know whether global warming is even an issue. But the article has concluded that global warming is real and fat people are part of the problem.

Nice. Wait, I thought we weren't going to be seeing the effects of climate change for 8 years. Covering all their bases again, I guess.

Okay, I'm Man Enough To Admit It!
The new picture at the top of the page gives me a boner.
Church Of Green
We all toyed with this idea before, but I thought I should still post it.
New Indy's Out.
And in honor of that...this:
It's no "Stars Wars" by Bill Murray:
But still pretty good.

Another One Bites The Dust.
Another San Diego area beach has declared a beach ban on alcohol consumption. I'm kind of tired of crying over the beach ban and I had prepared myself for it for years, but I do have a problem with the geriatric view the media has on the subject. Here's the article on Del Mar's new ban (which you might notice was put into effect at such a late date that the public can not possibly petition to have it overturned before this holiday weekend. Here are a couple of my favorite excerpts:
"In January, the San Diego City Council adopted a one-year trial ban on alcohol at coastal parks and beaches, ending a privilege that most coastal cities in the county had eliminated years ago. "
This is commonly mentioned in any news piece regarding bans, as in the idea of drinking on the beach is such an archaic notion that it boggles the mind people could have been living that way for so long. No note is made of how nearly every ban on every beach had been strongly opposed until the city powers that be were able to wear down the opposition with constant legislation, forcing the people to petition every couple of years and then reiterate their stance through voting.
"Young adults began showing up and putting kegs of beer inside tents erected on the beach. They organized drinking games like those seen on videos of college students gone wild during spring break."
Um, yeah, I think it's safe to say that the writer here is at least 80 years old and would like you to vacate their lawn post haste.

This Seems Pretty Cool...
...but this monkey actually sucks pretty bad at Pacman.
And don't you hate it when you're playing Pacman and some dumb bitch keeps pointing at the screen and shouting "Ooh, get those cherries!?" No shit, lady. That chimp should have ripped her arm off and beat her bloody with it.

Yaaaayyy!
THE WAIT IS OVER! WE KNOW WHO IS GOING TO PLAY CHENEY!
Oh man, the suspense was killing me. I'm glad that's over.
This will not shock you.

S.F. Imposes Pollution Fee
Why? Well they admit that it wont do anything to prevent global warming, but it will get us thinking in the right direction. Aint that sweet?
VP?
McCain invited three candidates over for an Arizona BBQ.
Mitt Romney
Bobby Jindal
and Charlie Crist
Is one of these three guys going to be McCain's runningmate?
If so then I am pulling for Bobby Jindal.
If you never heard Jindal speak, well here you go.

My Two Cents
I have an idea and goes like this: you know the surge is working when lefties start worrying about Iran.
2-3 years ago when Iraq was in total chaos, left wingers were poopooing the idea that Iran was a legitimate threat despite the evidence that they were selling weapons to insurgents, leading sponsor of Hamas and Hezbollah, killing our troops and enriching uranium. Today, their tune has changed. Now THEY are saying that Iran is in fact a threat and that WE (a.k.a. Bush Administration) have been ignoring Iran and that the Iraq war has made them more powerful. Why the change of heart? I say it is because the surge is working and they know it. There is less and less to complain about everyday in Iraq and that is not good for those who want to point out the bad and blame it on Bush. So they switched gears and are now focusing in on Iran.
The surge is working, thank God. We know it and the left knows it too. I will leave you with this.
That is how I see it anyway.
