As much as I can't stand kids on planes, I think flight attendants use the new rules of conduct on airplanes a little too loosely. To turn around a commuter flight over a talkative toddler? I'd be pissed at the attendant if I were another passenger.
A fellow passenger told Channel 2's Rachel Kim none of the other passengers had problems with Garren and that Penland never threatened the flight attendant.
I fly a lot now and I think flight attendants think they are the shock troops of the homeland security. I can see them turning around a plane because they got their feelings hurt. AND kids scream on planes because their ears pop (do to altitude) or they are cramped or because they want to. I am pretty strict and all bets are off when it comes to plane rides.

I find it hard to believe that the little the kid reportedly did was enough to cause the flight to kick someone off. There's something being left out.
If that is the whole story, then it sounds like the airline went too far.
But still, shut your kid up.
