Since The Onion discussed Garotzuva...

I figured what the heck.

CO2 not as involved as we thought.

I am not sure I understand everyone's position on global warming. Is it that you feel global warming is not happening, is happening but what can we do, is happening but not at the rate everyone claims or is just a rally cry for people who hate mechanized toys? This article states CO2 is not the sole reason, or even the biggest reason, that global warming occurs. So what. I don't think anyone has argued that if you stopped all CO2 output then we would live in blissful harmony. I too bristle when I here someone rail against gas guzzling SUV while simultaneously operating an IPHONE, an IMAC and there not so environmentally friendly Prius. Which I still am not convinced does anything different. But to completely treat anyone who might imply that we as the human race have any effect on the environment is whacked out left wing, hate the troops, communist thinking, then I will have to take a step back and say "what is the motivation here?"

To think that humans don't have some effect on "the environment" is not wise. If I dump oil in my back yard of course I'm affecting "the environment". My post was not meant to imply that we don't have to worry about our actions.

The post was just meant to show that when it comes to man made global warming, there is no hard science and its still being figured out.

I don't believe in man made global warming to the extent that Al Gore does at all. CO2 emissions are a core factor of his hypothesis, and I posted the article to show that there are dissenting views.

People are too quick to go haywire on this man-made-CO2-causes-global-warming hypothesis, yet much bigger natural factors like decaying biological matter, the sun, and volcanic activity just seem to be thrown out.

You can't really deny that global warming is happening to some degree, but man-made global warming is where I become skeptical. This planet has most definitely gone through periods of extreme warming before man came into play. And when the science seems to push hard for a certain conclusion and the issue is used primarily to motivate a regime change and taxation, I have to wonder about it's credibility. At the same time, I do feel that every person should do what little things they can as far as conservation and ecology. For instance, my friends and I almost always carpool to the casino. And I always make sure the bums (persons of homeless persuasion to you liberal Nazis out there) in my alley are well aware which trash bags are rich with beer can goodness. Just kidding, they all are.
