First off there are 1.4 billion television sets in the world. So to claim "I plan to deliver 2 billion eyeballs." Is quite an exaggeration.
Then there's Gore's remarkable comeback over the past few years. He's really made A LOT of money on the back of this Global Warming hype. Read it here. He claims the world is on the brink of death and then starts an investment company that only invests in the firms that follow his message. I mean he cares so much about his message that he charges $175,000 speaking fees.
But Al is in it for the good of the earth, right? I mean come on, he's so nice. I mean really, whats wrong with a guy making millions of dollars from scaring the planet?
This is probably the most telling quote from that Fast Company article:
"in the business world, particularly at a time when things are moving so swiftly, if you can see it early, you can make a business opportunity out of it."
