It's His Land.

City graciously allows man to keep ballfield he built for his kids on his own effing land. So why the fuck should the city have any say in the first place? Oh, I know you have to have permits and meet zoning requirements, blah, blah, blah all that stuff is bullshit too. America.

OK, overall I totally agree with you. Its his land, let him build a freaking ball park on it.

BUT... This guy chose to live in a richy rich neighborhood. With richy rich neighborhoods come all kinds of lost freedoms to keep housing values high. You end up paying a premium to live in a place where everyone else has say in what you can or can't do on your own property, and its legal.
