Well, Here's Your Problem Right Here...

...these bags were set for evil. So, the people of Seattle voted down the bag tax or whatever you call it, but it really didn't pass because of something the plastic bag industry did. You know, cause there's no way that the majority of the people really didn't want to pay for their bags. Right?

Interesting tax. I remember in Germany you had to buy your bags, but it wasn't a tax. The grocery stores just didn't want to give something away for free. It was just a way to cut costs. Obviously, the plastic bag makers know that American grocery stores don't have the guts (or maybe the customer loyalty) to personally charge customers.
