Shoddy Reporting
Once again, an article on the unreasonable persecution of people who appear to be doing the right thing, and not anywhere in the article does the reporter tell me whether these people are assholes or not. I don't even know where I stand on this. On the one hand, I am skeptical of all this drought business. On the other hand, HOAs are the Devil.
Oh, England!
Your madness completes me! Seriously, what child doesn't dream of finding treasure in the yard only to be prosecuted in court years later for not turning it over? The Nazis were always trying to take Indy's treasure too. Yeah, I went there.

Oh, Good.
It's been weeks since Hollywood raped my youth.

Back The Fuck Off, Anaheim!
You know not what you reap when you meddle with nerd love. Be careful where you meddle lest it become nerd rage! Seriously, though, this is bullshit! L.A. and Orange County just want all of San Diego's good shit! Not fucking fair! Make your own good shit, biters! At least the Padres are safe for now.

Aaaaagh!
I don't if there is any group of people I want to collectively punch in the face more than 9/11 Truthers. I've seen countless shows where experts have shown with actual real world experiments and data how the type of things these people suspect are technically impossible and the only "proof" Truthers ever give is that something doesn't look right to them. Fuck these jokers.
BTW, there are more than 100,000 members of the American Institute of Architects just to give you and idea of how insignicant 1,000 opinions are. And that's not every architect in America; That's just the members of that association.

The Costs Are Always Passed On To The Consumer
Populist moves like Obama's credit card laws, seem to always make more of a mess in the end. Those who make the laws will never learn.
Birdemic: Shock And Terror!
I hope it's not to late for them to convert this to 3D.

Pretty Good Piece.
Whoa, an actual Blogust sighting in the previous post. I was all set to post this, because normally our founding father would have taken care of it, and I thought he had moved on. Well, check it out anyway.

Third Hand Smoke.
Anti-smoking has finally jumped the shark. And I thought it was bad when they cited the psychological damage the mere sight of smoking in movies caused.

Not Finding Nemo.
Look, they're using CGI animation for something other than heartwarming, Earthhugging Pixar horseshit.
For the record, I have nothing against Pixar, but I feel most of their films would have been well served to feature more decapitation.

Nice Shot.
Came across this via a friend in San Diego. I think it's a well done little piece.
Wow.
So this is a little out of hand wouldn't you say? Of course, I firmly sided with the family right up until this part:
"The mother said she expects an apology and may sue."
In my perfect world she gets locked up for even considering it.

Tough Call.
If you can only see one movie this year...kill yourself, because there is no way to decide between the ukelele movie and this, the fixed wheel bicycle movie:
True story, BTW. I played in a charity poker tournament a couple of weeks back that was put on by this guy I know. This guy is a pretty gregarious dude, to the point of actually being kind of a straight up attention junkie, but he runs a cool little bar and he's well connected and if he likes you it can get you into some cool stuff from time to time, so you put up with the guy. Could not put his fucking ukelele down for the entire damn tournament.

Sorry, Folks...
...but I have to side with Obama here. I love Vegas as much as the next guy, but let's not pretend it's beyond reproach. People gambling away money they don't have to spend on that sort of thing is a real problem in this country. The powers that be in Vegas seem to think by putting out a couple of Public Service Announcements, they've shielded themselves from any kind of scrutiny.

One Thing I Learned In Philosophy Class
I've just come home. I took out the trash, sat at my computer and read some Facebook posts, read some news articles and then visited Blogust and read a few posts here. After digesting all the information and hearing all the stories I've decided to quote an old existentialist and share the sentiment that, hell is other people.
San Francisco Trash Cops
San Francisco, the city that keeps on giving. Composting is now law, well in 2011.
Here's a letter from our office manager. I guess co-workers are complaining that there's no composting in the office yet. These people are hopeless... They should be complaining that composting is a law, not the other way around.
"Currently the building is not set up for composting- I know it’s a law, but it’s one with no punishment system in place (until 2011)
BUT
The building is currently working towards getting a composting program in place. Nothing in a business happens overnight so just be patient: it will happen."

I Couldn't Agree More
I have felt for a while now that pro-choice has turned into pro-abortion. It's nice to see that articulated.
