German Car Company Promotes Fascism

You can't make this stuff up. When I saw this my jaw dropped. How on EARTH is this supposed to be funny?

By the way, wouldn't a GERMAN car company know its nations own history????

Your statement is lucid and I agree with you. However, "SS" is more obviously Nazi related and first came about in relation to cars when WWII was much fresher in peoples' minds. I've even seen Chevys with SS badges written in the runic style taken straight from the Nazi uniforms. Those car enthusiasts obviously lacked taste and likely smarts too but VW owns Audi and wasn't it Hitler and Nazi Germany that started VW as a car manufacturer anyway? The Green Police reference is oddly appropriate and twisted.

That aside, I think the advertisement was predictable and unimaginative.
