Debunking Military Myths

In light of this weeks attraction to Rengal and Kerry and all the total BS the Democrats spew about our military, including this gem over at Gateway, it is important to hear the truth from someone who actually knows what he is talking about. Debunking Military Myths.

Though I agree with this article, the author uses a lot of vague generalizations and tests most of us don't undestand. Case in point, the author states people who join the military have a higher aptitude test and that is based on the ASVAB. Have any of you taken the ASVAB? Why didn't they base this on the SAT, something WE ALL can relate to and we have all taken. He could say "the national average of the SAT is 800 an military guys average a 1000 so they are better." That is something we can understand. Just because the military says the ASVAB is designed at getting people who score a 50% and most people who enter get a 60% means nothing. Why, because there is nothing to compare it to. There are other "myth busters" that are equally ambiguous. Bottom line, I don't care if new recruits are dumber or smarter than the average person. I'm not sure what it proves. One thing I am sure of, it has nothing to do with the morality or immorality of War.
