Well if it has lost its punch, then why the reaction to him using it?
I totally disagree with the logic that by African American's referring to themselves with that word, that it takes away its punch. That word is still a derogatory term, and the main group of people keeping that word alive are the same people who it tarnishes.

To be honest, that word has lost a lot of its punch. To me that is a positive of rap music.
