Waaaa, now we can't host the olympics!
Hey, when you put too many special interest concerns into a contract the person you are doing business with is gonna tell you to put it where the sun don't shine. Just another example of liberal policies being bad for business and business taking its money elsewhere. There are so many examples of this in recent SF history that its just sad.

A couple of new events for SF olympics.
1. Feces shot put.
2. Heroin Track"s" and Field
3. Pissing on the street for distance.

You hit it more on the head than you think. Candlestick Point (where the current park is) would have also been the site of the new stadium. The multi-thousand unit housing/retail complex would have been right next door.
Know what neighborhood that is????
Hunter's Point. The home of a majority of SF's housing projects. What a perfect place to house athletes from all over the world.
Even if the Niners went ahead with the stadium, the city would still have to convince the Olympic Committee that housing international athletes next to crack heads would not be a problem.
Oh! But the "Walk and Pee" could have finally been added to the Olympics.
Starting as something we just did when we were drunk in SLO, it could have been a new world sport. They could have added it to the speed walking events. Its not like those walkers don't look stupid already.
