I Hate To Get Preachy..

...but this is important.
I have heard people throw out idiotic numbers like, 650,000 dead to 1,000,000 dead and it totally sickened me. Those figures were clearly used to fulfill an agenda, not to inform.

Lets put it into perspectve. As Stevil has pointed out to me, we lost 970,000 civilians and soldiers in the American civil war. Roughly 50,000 in one battle alone.
Japan lost 580,000 civilians in WWII and we dropped two nuclear bombs on them. And to have the left say more were lost in Iraq... Well, you draw your own conclusions.
