Not Surprising.

Los Angeles does not appear to feel that gas costs enough yet. At least from this guys editorial and from many of the comments following this op-ed piece it appears that some people are coming to their senses. The funny part about this is that if this writer had opted to support the tax, this probably would have made it into the news section rather than the opinion section.

Update: I've also noticed that on the local message boards at my work there is a groundswell of dissent towards Global Warming Alarmism. I guess the fear-mongers tend to lose a lot of steam when the ice comes back. Maybe they should take their fuel tax money and pay the Yakuza to unleash another category 5 hurricane on the Gulf Coast.

It looks as if the politicians realized they blew it with that sub-way they built. Does anyone know if that rail system was voted on or was it just heaped upon LA residents? If their was a vote then I don't feel sorry for them.
