Wouldn't that be just great though, if it actually turned out that the reason large glacial chunks were falling into the sea was because the water got warmer from valcanoes? And they were able to prove that. Oh man, that would be great.
And when I say great, I don't mean in a sense that we dodged a bullet, but in the sense of all these effing ninnies would finally realize they were listening Al "chicken little" Gore. I would love that.
This has been reported in the scientific community for a while about the volcanoes and the undersea vents melting ice, but the media refuses to report it with any kind of urgency. I remember seeing an article about one near Greenland that they said was probably reponsible for the reduction of one of the most commonly sited glaciers for Global Warming evidence.
