True American Heroes. The guys in this interview shrug it off as their duty, but these guys are HEROES.
Only 4 months after our Pacific fleet was wiped out, B-25's take off on a one way mission to drop bombs on Tokyo. And they pulled it off. Think of it:
- B-25's had never taken off from a carrier before.
- This was a one way mission. Most didn't expect to come back alive.
- Their only hope was to crash land in China and find help.
- The only way on this mission was by VOLUNTEERING.
