The whole point of Boy Scouts it to bond with your Father. The Boy Scout manual, now called "The Dangerous Book For Boys", is filled with projects you are to do with your Father to earn merit badges. Pretty much every thing I saw in that video I remember being in the Boy Scout manual.
I'm not bashing the Dangerous Book at all, but on the surface it looks fairly plagiarized.

Weird. I just read an article about that book this morning. I'm going to get it for my brother and his kid. That ought to piss off my sister-in-law.
