I Smell A New Bureaucracy Coming

And it goes by the name of Cap-And-Trade.

Let's face it fellas, the writing is on the wall. Global Warming is a reality whether it is proven or not and to reject it makes us all flat-earthers. Garoztuva has won!

In honor of his victory, I am going to celebrate by getting me a fine American beer, PBR to be exact, and I am going to emit green house gases (fart) all night long and all day tomorrow. Let them try to cap-and-trade that.

I understand your point, but I also see some hope in that the whole "going green" thing is now a fad. Every damned thing under the sun (ha ha) is now "green". I saw a commercial for a large, diesel suv (I think it was a GMC) that claimed to be "green". The car shown was silver, so I can only think they are referring to the fact that since its diesel it can run on bio-diesel.

The US was firmly behind eugenics 100 years ago. Many immigrants were turned away from this country because they did not meet "scientific" standards of IQ. There were whole college departments devoted to studying and proving this theory which would only better human-kind.

The hype behind Garotzuva is exactly the same in my opinion. It is a dangerous fad.

I am not denying that the earth warms and cools. I am scared of the momentum that the Garotzuvanites have. This momentum only gives centralized power to determine what modes of transport, energy generation, food creation, etc. are "good" and which are "bad".

Only overall bad can come of this.
