Now THAT's funny. Having actually worked on The Sims, I'll tell you that all major sciences are at odds with the models of weather, pollution, economics, traffic, politics, etc. that are portrayed in any Sims title.
Basically any model in The Sims world never fits with what an "expert" believes the models should be for his or her area of expertise.
It is a smart move actually. I imagine pot heads sitting around watching their lives slip by while playing a boring video game, and allowing Sims to present a reality the user has already chosen to live in.
