Like that Onion article said:

"Gay pride parade sets back acceptance of Gays by 50 years."

Believe me, you don't want to be anywhere near SF when the Folsom St. fair is happening. I happened to drive by it a couple of years ago trying to get out of the city. I had no idea it was going on. I remember this naked/bondage guy in a cage hanging from a crane... I just kept my head down and drove on.

What I am wondering is whether or not this has been going on for awhile. I mean, did it start off tame and then these people just pushed the envelope more and more, or was it always this raunchy?

I hate to say this baron, for I know you grew up in the Bay area, but San Francisco, which was once a fine city I am sure, is dying from the inside out.

Why are you apologizing? I completely agree with you.

It's always amazed me that people think there is sort of mental high ground in moral relativism. Its supposed to represent some sort of mind freedom, but it obviously leads to slavery to vice.

SF is a place that prides itself on acceptance of all ideas, except those that are traditional or impose restraint. The result is a city which represents the worst in mankind.

Yet the people of SF think they are so progressive. Its another in-your-face liberal contradiction that is so freakin obvious, but for some reason they can't (or won't) acknowledge that fact.

And to push the point a little farther, this is where my acceptance of Libertarian ideals stops. Fiscally I believe in Libertarian ideas, but not when it comes to the do-whatever-the-hell-you-want-and-leave-me-alone part.
