Great news. I feel that the only thing that is going snap Americans out of this socialist haze is the inconvenience of that type of economy. It all sounds good on paper, but when the people see they wont be able to get their wii or new cell phone, it no longer looks so sexy. Global Warming is just something to worry about when things are moving along nicely and there isn't anything else to worry about.
Maybe they should try this for a new tack on Global Warming. "You should be concerned about the environment, because odds are your family is going to be spending a lot of time outside soon."
