Are you suggesting the technology is bunk? Because its not. Its very real.
Using electricity to separate hydrogen out from H2O is real. The problem is that you need ELECTRICITY to make the separation happen. Right now we mostly burn fossil fuels to create electricity.
His welding device is actually used by people over on that hot rod board I frequent. We've had long discussions on this tech already. I think its cool.
This tech works well in places like Iceland, which is almost completely geo-thermal in electricity production. They have already set up a couple hydrogen generation stations that you can drive cars up to. You fill up your hydrogen fuel cell, and off you go. I personally believe its a great and possible thing since the two things needed to create hydrogen: water and electricity, are already piped to every home.
Of course the Government will come up with some way to make home generation illegal or taxable.
I did not mean to infer that the technology is bunk at all. In fact, I find this report to be very exciting. It's also unfortunate that it will probably be a long time until said technology is utilised, since the corporate powers that be will fight it til the death.
I don't think hippies are all that bad. Their heart is often in the right place.
A few years ago i saw a report on a guy that had come up with a device that greatly increased fuel efficiency by eliminating much of the fuel that gets wasted in the combustion process. Seemed like a pretty big deal to me. Haven't heard anything about that in a while. Why do you suppose that is?
Also, the Baron pointed out that this is not exactly new technology. Why hasn't it been developed for this purpose before, you freaking corporate schill!

If that torch gets as hot as the sun, maybe they can make a lightsaber out of it. How would that be? We can arm our troops with lightsabers.

Corporate Powers That Be? HUH?... Et Tu Brute?
I can't get over this "corporate powers that be" thing. The technology hasn't hit the market yet and you already tried and convicted them.
Two Rules
1. Capitalism works
2. Govt. stay out of the way

Well probably because only .00000000001% of all internal combustion engines can run on hydrogen...
:-)
I realize that.
