Honestly, how many of Bush's buddies and bankrollers do you suppose have money tied up in cable television and satellite radio, cause pretty soon those will be the only undiluted mediums to provide quality entertainment for your viewing and listening pleasure.
Don't get me started on Tamiflu, either, cause that's one of the bigger loads of crap going as well.

Let me get this straight. You think that raising fines on restrictions already in place is a Bush conspiracy to get people to switch to private media? A fine is not an added restriction it is an added deterrent.
I think he is catering to his religious base again, like he is with gay marriage.
A convenient excuse, to be sure. The over zealous religious bit is a problem for me as well, so either way it sucks.
Personally I think the fines are misdirected. The language and sexuality thing doesn't seem to be as much an influence as violence.
The other night the girl and I were watching TV and an add for The Omen was on. Talk about fucked up crap. They showed a lady with a smile on her face jump off a building and commit suicide while children dressed as clowns at a birthday party were watching.
Shit, I had nightmares after that one. It could ruin some little dude's week.
