Despite the media trying to use these images to show Merkel's disgust for Bush and to show how inappropriate of a man he is, the truth is, the two get along very well and Germany has been a much better ally to the U.S. since Merkel beat Schroeder out of office.As for Obama, who knows how they will get along if he becomes president (God Forbid), but she does find this inappropriate.

I've seen the video of him giving her the neck rub. She was shocked at first, but then laughed.
Of course the videos on YouTube never show her final reaction.
Whatever the President has done during his time he has repeatedly impressed me with very human random moments like this. I don't imagine a lop-sided or bad relationship could ever really produce such an event.
He is definitely random.
