Aaaaaaaaaagh! Where does this notion that electing Obama clears the slateand gives the world a fresh start come from? There's a campaign the youth could get relate to; "Obama, America's reset button." I find it fitting that he would reference 1976 in gauging the liberal leanings of the American people in regards to an election. That one turned out great for America. And I really love the not-so-veiled threat that Europeans may go from just hating Bush-Cheney to hating Americans altogether. Pretty shallow threat since Europe has had a pretty anti-American unless you're a Hollywood American pretending to be an enlightened Brit(i'm looking at you Madonna, Gwyneth) attitude for years now.
And I would really love to have an artist's interpretation of the Bush-Cheney finger so I can get it tattooed on my chest you fucking Limey wank-uh!
"Historical decline?" Oh yes, let's quote Slate's Weisburg as if he were Winston fucking Churchill, yet we're the ones fleeing from reality!
And in an article full of "just in case we lose" excuses the author blames himself for loving Obama in the final paragraph. Self-fullfilling policy? God, I hope so.
