My office at Pixar was literally 20 feet from Steve's office. His office was right near the tools group. Dunno how I ended up so close, but I think it showed more of who he was. Instead of getting some office with all the hoity toities of Pixar, he just chose a regular sized office near everyone else.
It was so surreal to walk by and say "Hi", and he'd say "Hi". I mean he's Steve Jobs, and he was just casually saying hi to me!
