Teachers are whiny.

EXCELLENT stuff. There's all this hub-bub about CEO pay. Some of the hub-bub is valid, some is not.

All the Dems want CEO pay tied to the board, shareholders, and performance. Some of this makes sense to me.

OK then, our government spends $500 billion a year on education. Not one year of this Iraq war cost that much. And what do we get for that education money? Very underperforming public K-12 schools. We get a government run, union dominated monopoly.

I'd rather have my money for home schooling or private school, thank you.

I agree with this author, the problem is not more money, but better incentives.

I don't know how CEO's are paid, but I do know that public school teachers are paid with tax payers money. To me they are too different to compare.

A buddy of mine just left his public school teaching job for a private one. He is being paid less and is receiving fewer benies, but he likes it a lot more. I think the word accountability comes to mind.
