This isn't going to be much of a post, but I thought it sorta interesting since it happened in San Diego. Well actually more like Carlsbad. Anyway, there were 300 people braving the rough San Diego weather, at least that is how the reporter described it, protesting the war in Iraq. It wasn't being sold as a protest however, but as a piece of art.
Hmmm...Is it me or does it seem like these types of people are very loose with the word art.
Moving on, the protesters...errr...artists dressed up in black clothes, lined the road and carried names of the fallen soldiers. Ah yes, now that is art. Personally I think they dropped the ball on this one. The "300" protesters should have dressed themselves in Scarlet Red Cloaks, armed themselves with shields and spears, and in unison screamed out "Sparta", but I am sure that would have defeated their purpose.
While this was going on, another San Diego resident who is native to Russia, since there are few real San Diego natives left, went around spoiling the "Artists" work. And how did he do this exactly? It wasn't with signs, or shouts, or anything like that. All he did was hand out 4"x6" american flags. Read the post here.
