And Yet Another Dem Calls For A Draft.

"One of the things we ought to be thinking about is some level of mandatory service to our country, so that everybody in America -- not just the poor kids who get sent to war -- are serving this country," - John Edwards

Can you believe these guys? I sware I don't think any of them know what they are going to believe in next.

The article shows that he backtracks a bit when it reports.

After the event, Edwards said he had not meant to imply that only the poor go to war, only that everyone should serve in some way.
"We have people from all walks of life in America who are serving, including Reservists and National Guard," he said. "What we want to do is to have all Americans to have a chance to serve their country."

Still, it is a tired line. During the time of the Vietnam war it was clear that some were exempt from serving while others were not, but this is an all volunteer army. You are not forced at the point of a gun to serve. Doesn't he see that?
He is an idiot, an elitist and I hate him.

Truth about the military and recruits

Thanks GatewayPundit...again.

Ha. That was Edwards speaking on poverty at UC Davis. He got paid $55,000 to give that speach.

Actually, what I meant to say was that earlier this week he got paid $55,000 to give a speach on poverty at UC Davis.

I'm not sure if this "poor fighting the war" quote was from the Davis speech, but you can be sure he worked the same topic in there somehow.
