Here's some of what we deal with down
here in San Diego, in case you're interested. Donna Frye is a left wing hag who desperately wants to ship my football team to L.A. or anyone else that'll take them, but this issue softens me towards her a little bit.

A big part of me still lives in Mission Bay, but that is for the old Mission Bay. It is no longer a community. Get out while you still can MC.
Mission Bay Park was mostly man made for commercial use and I think the owner of the Catamaran Hotel played a big role in its construction. I tried to look for the story, but I couldn't. Anyway, here is a link that talks a little about its history. Scroll down a little to get to the story. It does clearly say a lot about it being a public park, but I know it wont stay that way for long.
"a ban on permanent residential development or any private ownership of land within the tidelands, and
a limit on commercial development of leaseholds of no more than 25% of the land area and 6.5% of the water area for private purposes.
This assures that most of the acres making up Mission Bay Park are available for public recreational use."
