Stephen Harper of Canada and Angela Merkel of Germany both conservatives who ran on the platform of freer markets and on improved relations with the U.S. won their elections. Now a French cnadidate, let me say that again, A FRENCH CANDIDATE, who is not only known as a friend of the U.S., but namely, friends with Bush and who is also a free market tax cutting conservative, has won the French presidency. And yet the media insists on reporting about how unpopular we are in the world. Of course the liberals of France, like other liberals throughout the world who never take loss easily or gracefully, decided to riot.
UPDATE: I forgot about Conservative President Felipe Calderone of Mexico.

The French voting turn out was 85%!!! That means pretty much the whole country voted, and the conservative won. Plus, the liberal female candidate didn't get anywhere near the needed female voting support she expected.
One can only hope this happens here next year.
You do hit it right on the head when you metion all these nations that are voting for more libertarian/friendlier with America platforms, yet our MSM never seems to mention that.
