California Supreme Court allows good Samaritans to be sued for nonmedical care

It seems to me the only people this decision will benefit are lawyers. Is there any other way to see it?

I saw this on some news program last week and it was funny to see the parade of litigators they marched out to defend this decision as a victory for victims of being saved from death everywhere. And I mean funny like getting shot in the groin funny. Not very funny.

Will we ever wise up and put a stop to this sort of nonsense? No. Not as long as judges (or ex-litigators, if you will) are appointed due to favors and promises. Not as long as there is so much money to be made in the litigation lottery.

Each of the 4 judges who voted for this should be put in a burning car while everyone stands aside and watches them burn to death, because, you know, if you try to help them, they'll sue you.
