Watch Out Osama! The Big Bad Dems Are Coming

This article made my morning. Who is this party kidding anyway? The party of "I voted for the War before I voted against it?" I mean come on...They are no more than a Paper Tiger. No Agenda, no loyalty and no support. I take that back, they do have an agenda. GET BUSH!

This is a joke, right?

Hell, makes sense to me. They'll go for anything that makes the government more bloated.

They're playing politics. That's what our two-party government encourages. It's more important for one party to be against the other. Democrats are trying to embrace the fact that the majority of the population are unsatisfied with Iraq. For some time I think everyone has seen or heard about Bush's approval ratings concerning the war and recent struggles with congress. Democrats are attempting an appeal to the majority to get more voters on their side. It doesn't matter what you're for, it matters what you're forn't, er, against.

It's the exact same thing in the governorial race in California: Angelides spoke recently and was thouroughly disappointing, drivel. He failed to outline exactly what he had to offer. Instead he basically declared himself the Anti-Arnold Guy.

But see, that is the whole problem. Those polls are always fluctuating. And can't be trusted. The real question is, What are the Dems values? They change with the wind. I am not saying Republicans don't do the same thing, I mean look at how many are jumping ship to seemingly get away from Bush, but they will be the ones to lose. When the country is in a crisis, the people get nervous and they look to a strong leader. One with vision. When a politician replaces his values, his agenda and his leadership for what is popular among the masses at the time...then they will lose. In fact, I think we all lose.

Right, we all lose. The Democratic values are that they aren't the Republican values. In the last election people didn't like Kerry but voted for him because he wasn't Bush. It would be nice if they could find a strong leader, or at least unite behind some concrete ideas. That's one strength the Republicans have is solidarity, at least most of the time.

As for the polls, I think the fact that they haven't changed is what prompted the Dems to make this statement. They've picked up on the relatively steady percentages and are playing to that.

Polls are only a measure of how many people watch main stream news. What they are flooded with is MSM bias, so the polls show it.

I'm sure most people polled are the types who's news depth encompasses the Big 3 nightly news reports. The polls are worthless in my mind because:

The polls reflect opinion, not knowledge.

Unfortunately most people vote based on opinion, so only in that do the polls have value. They only measure how well the MSM is messing with people's opinions.

And, as Arvin said, the Dems here in California are once again taking the microphone stand without any platform other than "Hey, I'm not Arnold". I think that "Hey, I'm not Bush" tactic completely blew up in their faces last time around, so you'd think they would change. But they can't because they really don't have a solid platform.

Actually, sometimes they seem like they have a platform, they just don't say it outloud all the time.
1. European model of governing and economics.
2. islamofascism doesn't exist, so once Osama is captured, our work is done.
3. not monitor terrorists living in this country without first letting them know that we are doing it.
4. make occassional references to environment, gay marriage, and abortion.

Maybe I am over simplifying this just a bit, but that seems to be the state of that party.

While the Republicans stuck with the same formula.
1.Capitalism works
2.God and Country
3.Traditional Values
4.Small Government
5.State Sovereignty

I think the reason people are saying the Democratic party is hijacked is because nationalism, security and values seem to be missing. I might be wrong, but that is how I see it.
